Mixed Media

Dries Van Noten is known for mixing patterns and colors in unexpected ways and giving his clothes an almost ethnic or exotic feel even without intention.  You can see it from any of his collections, and I love this combo I did for spring.  The fabrics are completely different with a soft fluid (almost sheer) shirt with a draped detail in the back paired with stiff pleated trousers.  It's so simple and easy in terms of fit, but the mix of everything going on (even though all in the same color family) keeps it interesting.
