Last night was a blur of drag queens, tons of smoke, small talk, loads of reality stars, and cheap wine, plus not to mention it cost me six hundred dollars (just to start). Well actually, let me back up - David and I were running a tiny bit late (more like 1 hour and 45 minutes) for the annual DIFFA fundraiser held at the Anatole Hotel . We paid for parking, rushed in, and I headed for the open bar which was actually not so open due to the fact that dinner was about to be served. The bar had closed, but I was assured wine was at the table. We played Where's Waldo a minute for our table where we were finally seated next to one of my BFF's Tara Harper along with Courtney Kerr and Dena Miller. Issue: they had over sold our table by one so we had to find a waiter to grab us an extra seat as it was set for ten, and we had eleven. I was antsy with small talk with people I hadn't seen since last year's party so I made several trips outside to smoke on an electric cigarette where I spotted my botox doctor who gave my forehead a thumbs up. After the always long fashion show that had a few great moments of campy drag queens to very long walks from models who were walking painfully slow, we checked out before the after party to go to a more quiet spot for a date night dinner but not before spotting Allison and Courtney Edwards from Where Wear in The City and Taylor Garrett from the A-List Dallas. So, recap - tickets for two $600, parking at hotel $12, auction donation $250, repair on the heel of my shoe at Deno's from the long ass walk into the building $8, electric cigarette $19, dinner after the party $150, valet at restaurant to ensure a better spot $20, and outfits - priceless - oh my, what a night!
