David has long been a huge fan of mixing colors, textures, and patterns with his outfits as well as varying the shapes and silhouettes. He's known to wear pants so long they drag the ground trailing behind him or so short it's hard to tell if they are pants or shorts! He loves both cuts - boxy, oversized, and exaggerated or tight, skinny, and shrunken as well as everything in between. I on the other hand typically like a more fitted, long and lean cut; however, recently I've been experimenting as well and opening up to more playful mixes of it all as well as now wearing some color (other than my usual neutrals). In fact, this outfit is one of my favorites now even though it's not what I typically gravitate towards - the pants are shorter, the jacket is very boxy and widest at the most inappropriate spot on the body, and the patterns are way too busy for me, but for some reason, I do love it so maybe David is starting to wear off on me just a little after all these years. (Of course, I've yet to decide if that's a good thing!)

I absolutely love that location across from the Dallas Contemporary. I think its magical. Also, love those shoes.
ReplyDeleteI love that location too. I peep in everytime I'm at the Contemporary. The shoes are Christian Louboutin. Thanks for the comments - great minds think alike!
