Spring Fling...Hardly

Just a few more days before we officially hit summer according to the calendar, but it already feels like we're smack in the middle of it given this sweltering heat here in Dallas.  This weekend, it was almost impossible to stay feeling dry, but I tried with some light-weight looks that had a leafy garden feel to help trick my mind back into thinking it's still pleasant spring-time air outside.  Of course it didn't help that I spent some of my Sunday shopping for pre-fall items, but I must say the Stella McCartney, Saint Laurent, and Alexander McQueen stores all had some great finds!

Rolling The Dice

While I was away in the big apple, David and Logo took a quick trip to Las Vegas for a little fun.  He's not much one for taking pictures so there aren't very many, but he did manage to snap a few shots of his adventures in the desert city.  I'm sorry I missed out, but I must say I had the most amazing time in New York - missed everyone in Dallas though but looking forward to my return to the concrete jungle very soon for more amazing projects.

If you're in New York, check out the exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art entitled PUNK:  Chaos to Couture.  It runs through August 14th and is definitely a stop that should be on your list of things to do and see.  It's a lot more than just safety pins and leather.

All That Jazz

Going to the Carlyle Hotel is always a must for me when I'm in New York so this time I had to see John Pizzarelli at the Cafe Carlyle who is there playing with his famous father Bucky Pizzarelli.  It was an evening of jazz that carried me away.
